Preparing for results season in thinner names
A practical checklist for earnings windows when small-cap prints can reset momentum in a single session.
Results season compresses decisions. In smaller listed names, a single print can reverse weeks of relative strength — or confirm it so loudly that late buyers chase.
Build the calendar early
Disclosure dates are imperfect, especially on AIM. We still assemble the best calendar available and mark confidence levels. Gaps themselves are information: a delayed print often sits beside fragile momentum.
Separate extension from confirmation
A name that has already run hard into the print needs a different conversation from one grinding higher on improving volume. Our Earnings Season Watch shortlists note both states so the client can decide risk, not only direction.
Plan the mid-season update
The value of a watch is often the second note — after the first wave of prints. That update should be boring if nothing broke. Silence dressed as calm is better than inventing a new narrative every week.
