About Devvector Base

A Manchester research desk devoted to small-cap momentum mapping and financial market analysis.

Why we exist

Smaller listed companies move for reasons that large-cap screens often miss: thin floats, concentrated holders, sudden volume, and earnings that reset a narrative overnight. Devvector Base was founded to map that behaviour carefully — and to explain it in language investors can use in a committee or at their own desk.

We are based at Level 7, 74 Mosley Street, Manchester M2 3DE, close to the city’s professional and financial community, and we work with clients across Great Britain.

How we work

Our analysis begins with price and volume behaviour, then layers catalyst timing and sector context. We prefer shortlists with transparent ranking logic over long narrative reports that bury the decision. Clients receive written notes they can file, and conversations that stay specific to named securities and constraints.

We do not sell a software product. The work is research and briefing, delivered by people who read the tape and the filings.

Working approach

Every engagement starts with your universe boundaries — exchange, liquidity floor, sector exclusions — before any ranking. We document assumptions in the note so a second reader can follow the same path. When evidence is mixed, we say so rather than force a tidy story.

Values we hold to

  • Specificity — names, dates, and liquidity caveats over slogans
  • Independence — no brokerage soft-dollar arrangements directing coverage
  • Clarity — briefings written for busy readers, not for academic journals
  • Restraint — we decline mandates that need valuation modelling we do not offer

Relationship with clients

Most relationships begin with a single Momentum Mapping Review. Some clients return each earnings season; others call ahead of a rebalance. We keep the relationship light on ceremony and heavy on preparation — send the constraints early, and the session stays sharp.
